Here on this page, you will find a list of UK based magazines that offer payment and prizes for things such as letters, fillers and poems.

Please include your full contact details and remember that all contributions and letters can be edited (and added to) on publication.
I also recommend Linda Lewis's book ' How to make £10 in ten minutes' available for kindle at just under £1.00.

LOVE IT! magazine is a weekly women's magazine.
For some reason, they would like to know your age as well as your contact details, so don't forget to send this on your correspondence.

Their letters page is called We love your letters.
They pay £20 for a letter. The star letter receives a prize. (In June 2012, it was a Marilyn Monroe movie set on blue ray).
The letters are usually about something in a previous issue and not all have a photo.

WEB USER magazine is published every fortnight. Their letters page is called Inbox.
They are looking for comments about software programmes, the net and websites. Anything that involves using the web (Hence the mag's name!)
PAYMENT: Star e-mail receives £25.

MY WEEKLY magazine letters page is called All About You.

There are different headings:

Past Pics (A nostalgic photo and a few lines)
Little Treasures (Photos of children with a few lines)
Pets Corner (A photo and few lines about your pet)
Rant! (What makes you mad? State it in a paragraph with a photo of yourself)

The Best Friends section also appears on the letters page. The prize is a bouquet of flowers. This requires a photo of you and your best friend and a long paragraph.

PAYMENT: £25 for each letter (together with a photo) printed and £50 for the star choice letter and photo.

They also have a Bright Ideas page - which covers top tips.

PAYMENT: £25 for each one. They like photos but in the May/June 2012 issue, I saw tips published without a photo.

WHAT'S ON TV is a weekly television listings magazine. They require short, snappy pieces (plus rants) for their letters page, which is called Have your say.
They also require a few words for their 'What do you think section?' but this requires a photo.
PAYMENT: £10 for every letter or rant, £25 for the star letter and £15 for every What do you think?

TVCHOICE is also a weekly TV listings magazine. They require short letters for their page, which is called Choice Letters.

WOMAN'S WEEKLY magazine letters page is called What You're saying.
PAYMENT: All letters chosen for publication receive £10 and the letter of the week receives £25.
The All About Me section requires a photo and any published will receive 'a gift.'

TAKE A BREAK'S FICTION FEAST have a piece called My Favourite Book. Write about your favourite book in 70 words or less. You need to send a photo too.

PAYMENT: £20 for each one used.

YOURS magazine's letters page is called Meeting Place. They also accept poetry (rhyming and non rhyming) for their poetry corner slot.
PAYMENT: £10 in high street shopping voucher for every poem or letter published. £25 for the star letter.
They have a 'Pet of the fortnight' section and this also pays £10 in high street shopping vouchers.
You need to send a photo of your pet and few details about them. See YOURS mag for more details.

TAKE A BREAK's weekly magazine letters page is called 'We've got mail!'
PAYMENT: A whopping £75 for each letter, and £100 for the star letter.
They've got sections called What a star! and What a laugh. They like photos to accompany letters.

TESCO MAGAZINE is free from branches of Tesco. Their letters page is called Inbox.
PAYMENT: All chosen letters for publication receive a prize (March/April's 2012 prize was a lavender hand and body set) with the star letter receiving a big lavender beauty basket.
They don't require photos.

WRITERS' FORUM monthly magazine letters page is called Writers' circle.
PAYMENT: A prize of a small moleskin notebook worth £9.95. No photo required.

READER'S DIGEST is a monthly subscription only magazine.
PAYMENT: £50 for the star letter, £30 for normal letters and £15 for short extracts on its "Over to You" pages.

The letters page is called Cat Chat and the snippets are usually accompanied by a photo. Anything unusual about what your cat gets up to, where they sleep, etc.

TAKE A BREAK'S MY FAVOURITE RECIPES.
Write about your recipe, list the ingredients and method and send a clear photo of it when the dish has been cooked/baked.
They also require a head and shoulders photo of you.
